Andy Irvine @ The Mill Theatre, Dundrum Town Centre
We are delighted to welcome the legendary Irish singer, songwriter and gifted musician Andy Irvine to the Mill Theatre Stage. His material ranges from the centuries old music of Ireland to Wood Guthrie, from the music of Eastern Europe to modern compositions.

Having travelled the world with Planxty undoubtedly one of the most influential groups ever to emerge from Ireland’s traditional scene, Andy will impress with his repertoire of Irish Traditional songs and dexterous Balkan dance tunes. Over the course of his career spanning more than forty years he continues to pursue new combinations encompassing the musical styles of the many countries he visits. Between the achievements of his solo, group work and collaborations, he is a highly revered troubadour of the Irish music world.
He is an accomplished player of the mandolin, bouzouki, mandola, guitar-bouzouki, banjo, harmonica and hurdy-gurdy.
This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the amazing sound that is Andy Irvine in the intimate setting of the Mill Theatre Dundrum.
‘Andy Irvine's solo stage show is a musical travelogue through time and space. His right hand dexterity on bouzouki was nothing short of amazing.’

-Dick Gaughan-
‘Andy Irvine is Ireland’s Woody Guthrie, with a philosopher’s ear and a prophet’s passionate voice. He is also a stunning singer and instrumentalist who weaves melody and texture, harmony and rhythm, into a rich tapestry of present and past.’
